Remote control of PC - like VNC ?

think this is the right group

any recommendation on software to remote fix a relatives pc ?

doesnt have to be enterprise level just basic will do

there was one in last weeks micromart but i've forgotten the name already

if i could open their word processor and type /edit away that would be great

any pointers appreciated

sign up to their site, and create a free account.

tell your relatives to login and download the logmein software, (test it on your own first so you know what they need to do)


then you login to the logmein website, and take control of their pc through the web browser

actually yeah, teamviewer looks perfect too (probably more perfect in this instance)

Check out Pchelpware or SC (Single click), requires some configuration from you and port forwarding setup on your router.

Once your finished, you can host the executable on your webspace and its then just get them to goto the website, download/run the file - which then connects to your machine (client has to be running on your machine at the time).
