Removal from mailing list

I used to have a gym membership and left a while ago but I am still getting text messages to join back up. It is now becoming very annoying.

I have called the gym and told them to remove me from the list. They said they have removed me but I am still getting the texts.

Any advice on this? Or is it just a case of going in and proving that I'm still getting the texts?

What's the text say?

I once had one from Varsity that said: "You have been succesffully removed from our distriubtion list" or words to that effect. I received it once a week.
