I can get a good pair of really tall ddr3 sticks that run at 1600mhz for £55, or kingston value 1300mhz ram for £48. I would have remove the heatspreaders on the 1600mhz ram. Is it worth the slight price difference and the voiding of warranty?

This is to add to 2x DDR3 Corsair Vengeance LP 1600MHZ 16gb kit to make 32gb

What make & model is the DDR3 with heat spreaders. I mention as I had some early 1600 Corsair DDR3 memory from 2008 with large heat spreaders and that memory ran very hot at 1600 so the heat spreaders on that were needed.
