Removing awful ads on k800i 3 network

Hi i told my mate to get a k800i cos there sweet, he went with the 3 network which i thinks crappy. (i have same phone on o2) anyways when he showed me it, it has like banner adds on the screen all the time it looks really annoying and he was rid of them, anyone know how to do it, cos im told it can me done

im not sure if your talking about debranding the phone by flashing the firmware?

Apparantly if you go into settings, then display, there should be an option to turn it off Easy!

If you goto Menu > Settings > General > Instant Viewer and click "deactivate", it disapears
