whats the best way to remove bird poo some kind bird has dumped there load all over my bonnet and window :mad:

Warm water and a cloth, providing it's fresh.

If not, do the above then clay bar it afterwards.

seemed to come off nice and easy with warm water and a kitchen cloth dont have a clay bar though

it just seemed to wipe off it wasnt that big just little splodges :eek:

Did you know that bird crap damages paintwork?...

There are ways and ways, this guy asked for the best one so he doesn't damage his new car, so why be rude?

Lets face it most car enthusiasts clean their car regularly and are more likely to be in the know. This is the motors forum, no?

Yes. It's fairly obvious you don't use a metal scraper on dried bird poo on your car. It's also fairly obvious water will soften the poo.

But then I guess people need to be told the obvious, such as don't jump in front of oncoming trains, as that will kill.

The guy has just got the car so give him a break for being worried about damaging the paint.

Bird crap can really mess up your paintwork, a guy at work never bothered to clean his car and you could see how bird mess had eaten away at the paint.

BTW now that you've cleaned one load of mess off, be prepared to find the whole car covered in it later on. Those damn birds like to screw with you.

Some people like to have imaculate paintwork on cars, check out Detailing World and you will see some over there. The OP wondered what the best method was, and got a decent answer from Nozzer, I don't see why you have a pop at the guy?

Bird poo can do nasty things to paintwork in quite a short space of time, and if you don't remove it carefully you can cause scratches etc. so it isn't such a silly question

Perhaps buy an RS4 for a dog to slash against....
