Removing hardrive from Asus laptop

Think the harddrive has failed on my Asus A4K laptop problem is they have put two of the screws in a pig of a place as the heatsink is in the way :(

May try a phillips drill bit and a pair of pliers

Are you sure the drive or even the whole cradle doesn't come out another way? Looks very odd to have the drive so well buried.
 
Dont you just pull the harddrive back and up removing the caddy with the harddrive and then remove the screws when its all out ?
It looks as though the one screw on top is the retaining screw for the caddy and the ones on the side just hold the HD to the caddy ?
