¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've got some permanent marker on my bonnet (don't ask), :o and I was wondering if there was a way of getting it off without ruining the paintwork?

Would white spirit or something similar work? It's metallic with clearcoat if that makes any difference. :)

Polish should get it off, T-cut if it doesn't want to come.

White spirit *might* do the trick, it's worth a bash first.

Does it say "Cook Pass Babtridge"?

Permanent marker ink is usually easily removed with MORE permanent marker ink.

I've removed it in the past by scribbling on the lines with another marked and IMMEDIATELY wiping clean with a cloth.

:D

I've done this with a drywipe marker to get rid of permanent pen off a white board.

Not quite. :D

I thought it was a dry-wipe marker, so I did a few doodles on the bonnet over the weekend. I only realized it was permanent until afterwards. :o

Anyway, I used loads on Lynx and a tissue, and it worked a treat! :) I think the alcohol in the lynx must break it down.

good old fasioned t cut, wont damage the paint and will remove safely the marker

dont use things like white spirit, nail varnish remover or any other cocking stupid suggestion from the morons that post first and think later

You were saying...?

It wasn't a stupid suggestion, it won't damage the paint, and certainly got rid of the pen marks, as I said it would :)

I just went for the thing that looked the least aggressive... I don't think deodorant would be very harmful to paint as you spray it on yourself anyhow. :)

It's my car, so if I make it any worse, it's no one's fault but my own. :)
