As this is only my 2nd radio I've ever removed from a car (and the 1st one a cinch) I'm at a total loss now that I've been trying for over 30 mins!

Its a volvo 340 with a factory radio fitted. I've removed those little plastic covers on the sides but now what?!?

Please help!

Ta.

Yeah I've tried that. 4 screw drivers into each of the 4 holes at the same time. No matter how hard I pull it doesn't seem to want to come out!

Any ideas?

PS. How far to the screwdrivers/pins/coat hangers have to go in?

I've heard stories that sometimes theirs an M10 bolt at the back holding it in! Meaning I would have to go round the back! :(

But I just hope I'm being a chump.

I'll try again in a sec...

Sorry to revive this dead/green and decomposing thread, but I've FINALLY got round to actually getting the radio out.

I've got a JVC elcheapo cd radio to replace it but I obviously need an adapter. Do/would your average Halford sell them?

Cheers

Can someone possibly tell me what type of connector these are?

Radios

The top one is the JVC one (ISA? ISO? connector?) and the Volvo one is on the bottom - and I have NO idea what that one is.

Pleeeease help if you can :)

Well I went to Halfords, they didn't have the correct adapter and so I bought a "blank" one to wire myself as I would have had to do some rewiring anyway.

The thing is its now not turning on, with everything wired up. Power wise there were 2 brown and one green, (+ve and ground?). From the ISO connector I soldered the Red +ve and the yellow cables together then soldered them to the 2 browns (again soldered together). Thinking back this is obviously wrong. What should I have done?

PS. I left the blue and orange ones alone... they're not connected to anything.
