Hi guys,

Myself and some friends have done up a porsche 924 and we were going to hire it out to people for trackdays to help recoup some of the costs. Does anybody know what kind of insurance etc we would need to offer us some kind of legal protection? Perhaps if we set ourselves up as a limited company?

Thanks in advance.

Firstly a bad idea. Youll get some idiot (me) renting it out. Giving it as much hell as possible. Take out about three cars in one go and leave you with the bill :) Bad idea mate..

Christ...Don't even bother.

Enjoy your car amongst yourselves.

Besides, you can buy a race-prepped 924 for virtually pennies...how much did you spend 'doing it up'?

You seriously expect people to pay you for the privilege of driving a 924  Its not exactly one of those cars that people dream about owning is it!

How much are you looking to recoup? I just can't imagine that buy the time you pay for an insurance, the cost of the trackday etc that you'd make much money. All this is my opinion of course and I'd be happy if you could prove me wrong. Is there some huge underground 924 fanbase that I'm not aware of :)

I have to say 924s are quite sweet handling little things but not particularly fast (unless it's an obrut model ;) )....good for carrying speed with. Hell, most of the members cars on here are faster than a 924 :D

And considering that you can get good condition 924s for about a grand, I hope you didn't spend that much doing it up!
