I'm looking for somewhere nice to rent in Berkshire, within commuting distance of Bracknell

Really looking for a small village or quiet area with plenty of character - but want to try and avoid anywhere where there will be a rush hour crush - I know, asking for the impossible!

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info.

Quickly realising that £1k a month is going to get pretty much nothing!

I'm in the same position as you. Looking in Wokingham with up to 1,000pm to spare. Bloomin' hard :(

Rental prices are dafter than house prices at the moment here.

£1000/month - my god. What sort of house are you trying to get?

I used to live in that area, moved north 10 years ago. So glad I did.

Sorry this doesn't help you :(

Just your average family house: a 2 or 3 bedroomed semi-detached house, in a nice area.

I live in Reading and its fairly expensive here. Wokingham was too IIRC. There are some places in beetween that if you drive arent too bad, Twyford, Winnersh, Arborfield, Crowthorne, Yately.

Binfield, Hurst, Twyford, Waltham St. Lawrence (may be a little fair, but has an awesome pub), Sherlock Row, Crowthorne. You can also look around the Ascot area but don't have a huge knowledge of that area.

The closer you get to Maidenhead and Windsor area the prices get higher you'd actually be better off looking closer to Bracknell itself and in fact in bracknell rather than outskirts!

But then you'd have to live in Bracknell :p:D

Binfield could be a good compromise, but I'm not sure how expensive it is.
