Renting

I'll explain my situation first...

I currently live at home but my girlfriend and i want to live together for a few months before she goes off to uni. Finding a houseshare in my area has proven problematic.

I spoke with a landlord today who has an empty house for a few months that fits in with the dates that we want and he said we can have it for £600 a month.

It's a 3 bedroom house and there will only really be me paying as my gf only has a part time job and will be saving for uni. So even though it's very cheap i'm still £200-£300 a month short on what i'd like to pay + bills

One option I was thinking would be to find a 3rd person to sublet, i've no idea what would be involved though so i was just asking for a bit of advice/options really even though i'll probably give it a miss

Best bet, imo, would just be to get a 3 individual tennancy agreements, that way if the 3rd lodger does a runner or damages stuff etc, you won't be liable.

Your landlord is unlikely to let you sublet.
