Since a picture says a thousand words heres a shot of the damage.

It's obviously a ply body and the top layer has cracked and is starting to lift, whats the best way of repairing the damage (or at least stabilising it)? I'm currently thinking wood glue to stick it all back down, filler and then staining/lacquer. (The repair doesn't have to be perfect as its on the back, and it's only an old Gemini II acoustic, but my son loves it dearly, and he doesn't want it getting any worse)

Does that sounds ok? Or is there anything thats a real no no?

Cheers.

Duct tape was my first thought, but for some reason I think he might get the arse with me if I suggested it  :p

I think I'll give it a go at the weekend........ now where did I put the belt sander ;)

(Odie if your reading this I'm only joking)
