I'd say everything after the ti4x00 series needed a power connector of some sort, no? My brother has a shuttle with a 9800 Pro, and that needs a molex.

My SN41G2 has a 6800GS, unlocked to a GT, which needs a molex. So did the 6600GT I had before that.

Assuming you can have a power connector, I'd go for a second hand 6800 GT, or a 7600 GT if you have the money (£140). Both single slot for the shuttle.

What would you be upgrading from?

Also I'd recommend the 250W PSU with these cards, if your shuttle has the 200W as standard.

upgrading from a dead 6800le that unlocked, but need to keep money down

Then I'd say either a 6800 GT if you're not bothered about little or no performance bump, and a 7600 GT if you want a performance increase.

When you say keep the money down, you mean exactly how much/little?

A 6800GT will still be a performance boost from a 6800LE unlocked due to the higher clocks.

A 6800GT or X800XT would probably be the cards I would look for (the latter is quicker).

OR if you want something new a 7600GS is excellent value for money (I belive cyber mav done a thread on the 7600GS he bought) or a 7600GT is quicker but more expensive.

need to keep money down as

a its not my pc

if have to pay !!!!!!

and hes not getting near my conroe with x1800

X800 pro or XT Fantastic cards and You could underclock it with ATI tool to reduce power

Ran fine on my 200w Ideq , It's a shame we are not allowed to offer parts for sale in this part of the Forum.

It Slautered a 256mb 6600 at about 50% clocks

I don't think there are any modern graphics cards that are more powerful than the 6800le that don't require some form of additional power, you could always use a "Y" power-splitter if the number of connectors is an issue.

Any of the cards mentioned so far should be fine to run on a Shuttle PSU, have a look in the Members Market since you have enough posts, you should be able to find something suitable in the range of say £35-70 so if JAKUS is selling his card in there is where you'd find it. :)
