Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster

I can see people's points about some remasters but these are genuinely decent and as above, allow us to play these games on PC for the first time (legitimately, at least).

Personally I'm really looking forward to the RE2 remaster.

I think 1 - 3 were released on PC way back in the day, hard to get a hold of them legitimately these days mind!

I'm digging this, I never had a GC growing up so I missed out on this little gem. Personally I can't wait until they release the rest (RE2, RE3, CVX and maybe Outbreak 1/2). Won't be able to throw my money at the screen fast enough!

I hope they release the Dreamcast version of Code Veronica, rather than Code Veronica X. They cut some scenes out and added some in and made it look more cheesy than it already was :(.

I pretty much bought a Dreamcast just to play CV. Its still one of my best gaming experiences and would love to add it to my PC collection.

Yea, Code Veronica is the best one IMO
That and Shenmue are the main 2 reasons I had a Dreamcast

Ah yes, I forgot that there was a release of 2 at least on the PC. Probably the others you've mentioned too :)

The textures on this one seem way better than RE1 remake....some of the backgrounds in that were low res. Also supports 2560x1440 in options this time.

Come on dish the dirt on the options lads!?

I am waiting on mine so is variable framerate option still there and is the limit still 120? You can change hz this time without going into the CFG? And does 4K make a difference (Jaggies) Over 1080p? The first one was simply scaled from 1080 and made no difference at all. Also it had only options for 30/60/Variable for hertz.

Also there was a translation error for Resident evil II, It is a full on remake not a remaster. :)

variable framerate option still there and 144hz selectable and runs absolutely fine with no issues. Can also choose which type of FXAA you want but thats about it really. Not tried 4k as I dont have a suitable monitor.

It doesn't like Afterburner, i get a white corrupted box flashing on with that on, with it off, i get no issues.

Also found when ive got Afterburner on, that when i quit the game, its graph doesn't show any fan speed for my 2nd GPU (may be some other readings missing from my 2nd card also), but as soon as i close it and re-open it, it re-appears.

Not a worry though, as don't really need Afterburner on for it. :p

Yea i noticed pcgamingwiki updated that 120hz support but nice to see 144hz the last one had a limit of 120 with variable so it worked like 30.60.120 in that regard. As for FXAA i hate it i think i would prefer no AA or to force the flag for MSAA or better yet 4K?

You can still use DSR if you have a 144hz monitor mate, Thats what i do on my 120hz VA i use DSR to get 4K.

Had a quick play last night whilst winding down from a busy day... I am a complete noob at this game and didn't even realise that you had the whole switching companion/control thing as an option.

Anyhow, read up about it and saw that the bloke was the best at shooting stuff so handed all my weapons and ammo over to him before switching over. Then immediately got separated and was forced to control Claire wandering around without even a pistol :p Fun times. I picked up the shotgun with her and then fought the first boss with the minimal ammo you get. It didn't end well...

Anyhow, lesson learned :p

Noob :D

I'm pretty impressed with the visuals! Nice and crisp, they've done a really good job, minus the cutscenes.

One bad point is that I'm playing it over Steam Link, and it's one of those annoying games where the mouse pointer doesn't automatically disappear once it detects you're using a controller.

Just had a play with Afterburner disabled, and still got the flashing corruption box, so its not that, seems to be an Xfire issue, as disabled that, had another play for a bit, and it was fine.

I would mentally block that information i read Eurogamer and saw that it was a video background and 4:3 aspect ratio 1:1. When i am playing i would rather forget i am playing a zoomed in 16:9 with video background. It sounds shoddy but the game does look good and no one seems to be able to tell.

That is how i like it until Eurogamer broke it to me, But alas this is the last remaster?
