Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster

You get it? Amazon better come through now 3:30pm and post is already in, I suspect this is going to be a 5pm signed for delivery maybe.

Ignore my poor edit, Wiki confused me for a second i think i am grasping now what is going on with 0. The playthrough i watched looked daunting but after a wiki i now see i did miss this game orignally and now i understand who the hell Billy is and what item dropping is.

As I've already bored you all to death with... I think it's mental some of you consider Code Veronica as the best one. Just, bwuh! Soooo much backtracking :(

I love it! I've heard people saying it's hard though I've never understood why. I've found REmake much harder than CV.

I can't remember much backtracking, apart from when I got to the end boss and ran out of ammo and had to scour the map as far back as I could go to find some shotgun shells. I somehow managed to miss some dual machineguns and the magnum.

People who played Veronica X on the Playstation might have a different view of it to those that originally played on the Dreamcast as they changed it a bit and the gfx were probably a little dated by then. When it first came out on the Dreamcast it looked amazing to me and was everything you could hope for in a resi game. Cheesy dialogue, cool soundtrack, creepy mansions, all the guns, Claire Redfield in tight jeans, a better love story than twilight and a giant spider that is walking about under some ice . If anything it could have been more dark and creepy like the first 3 games, but I guess this had a lot to do with the locations used.

One small thing I am enjoying in Resi 0 and the other older games is that you can interact with the scenery. For instance you click on a vase or a painting and the character will comment on it. Unlike RE4 and on that are just filled with copy and pasted generic vases with ammo/snakes inside :(.

For someone who hasn't played any of these RE games (or the Silent Hills, etc), which one would be the best to start with?

I heard good things about RE6... :D

Resident Evil 1 remake imo. 0 is set before it, but 1 is a much better game.

How have you never played any of these games?. It's a shame as games like Silent hill will look badly dated now, especially on modern screens.

I don't know tbh. I've always been curious about them. But for years I played nothing but EverQuest, and these games passed me by...

I'm all better now tho.

Also I never had a PS1 or a GameCube as a kid; just a PC. So it was XCom and C&C and Quake, not Final Fantasy or MGS or... well, not until emus later anyhow ;)

You've missed out fox!!!!!! Seriously

Start with this and work your way up to 5. Forget everything after that.

Silent Jill creeped the life out of me back in the day, the first alley you go down when them little buggers come out. And the hospital argh.

Play em all apart from 5/6 an racoon city, as Resi games there garbage.
Total revamp of the series that don't work with the originals imo (to different an loses the feel of survival horror).
