Ooo if I haven’t recommended it before check out ‘Tormented Souls’ - it’s pretty much a REmake homage (some supernatural elements but completely aligned with gameplay). Really enjoyed it. Should be right up your street!

Yeah, The Evil Within was not my cup of tea. Most survival horror games are not to be honest. I just love everything about the OG resi games and the newer stuff just seem boring in comparison.

Talk about boring. I am playing Uncharted Legacy Collection right now and boy is that boring. Decent story but shocking gameplay. Tomb Raider games are a million times better gameplay.

I paid £15 for it so I insist on finishing it, but never again will I touch that franchise :cry:

Can't help it. Only a few chapters left now anyway. As I say, at least a decent story. But could have just watched it on YouTube had I knew gameplay was that bad.

As for Tormented Souls. Not seen that before!! Will watch that review and probably end up picking it up if it is what I think it is! :D

Seen enough, looks good to me and can't go wrong for under £3 which I found a steam key for :D

Download just finished too, all installed now. Question is do I complete uncharted first? Arghhh!! :p:cry::D

Hold on a minute. Game starts showing the publishers name called PQube. Followed by a woman in bathtub with a hose pipe down her throat and her **** hanging out. Next minute her eyeball is missing. What's going on here! :cry: :D :cry:

Man, love that they give you both tank controls and 360 controls together in one go. I am using the PS5 controller by the way :D

Even more happy to see pre rendered backgrounds. Been wanting a game like that for a long time.
 
Just got the lighter, went into a safe room (love the music) and did my first save. So much Resi nostalgia it's unbelievable.

Thanks for bringing this game to my attention man. I think if this game does not have its own thread I will make one soon and we continue in there.

Just watched some of that. Not sure I will be in a rush to grab this one on release unless I get it on the cheap. Still got a bunch of games I need to get through. Now had it been Code Veronica I would have pre-ordered it already.

So what you’re saying is don’t buy the new one, just play the old one with all have with mods? :p

I was actually planning on doing that but once CAPCOM said they are making a remake I said might as well wait for that.

Yeah, I was just messin. Will be keeping my eye out for a steam key on the cheap so I join you guys day one.

I wonder if @Nitefly will be playing day 1 this time. Last time his GPU popped and he ended up playing RE Village many months after :cry:

I am playing Tormented Souls at the moment and enjoying that.
 
I think I will end up giving in and playing this day one. I only remember bits and piece of the original. Probably like 30% of it as not played it in a very long time, so I am avoiding everything.

I remember fancying playing it a few year ago, but then saw the HD texture mod and those guys were like only half done, so I said might as well wait, then after I knew it would get a remake so I said might as well wait for that.

Now that the release is getting closer I am looking forward to it more than I did before :D

Haha. I doubt it will disappoint if you liked the original to be honest. Plus reviews should be out day 1 so you will have an idea from those.

I got FO4 day 1 also. I remember there was a major quest bug halfway through that kept crashing the game. Took them a week to fix it but before that I used a developer tool and just floated across to where I needed to be to continue the quest.

I have not learnt my lesson it seems as I will be getting Starfield day 1 also after reading a few reviews :cry:
