Restore Partition how to activate?

Hi Guys,

As per title, would like to access this and restore the lappy to its initial state.

How do I do this?

You should have a disc from when you bought the laptop that will initiate the restore process. If you pop it in the dvd drive and boot from it you should get a prompt to restore.

New laptops have a restore partition which you can access by pressing a certain F key (F1, F2 etc) during boot. It might depend on the manufacturer of the laptop.

What Olly said. Sometimes you will need to boot from the recovery partition though, you would need to check in the laptops manual, or check the startup screen for a recovery option
