This has brightened my day up so I thought I'd share it.
While back from uni this summer I wanted to earn some cash, but as opposed to the last couple of summers I didn't want to be stuck in an office, so chose to do some labouring on a building site. This was going brilliantly, earning really good money, getting fit and getting a good tan. But it all back fired when I broke my ribs a few weeks ago playing cricket.
This really put a downer on things. Not only did it mean I was out of plaing cricket twice a week, more importantly I couldn't earn any money. Next, I got offered a free last minute holiday, but had to turn it down on doctors advice (risk of punctured lung apparently). The final straw came when I had to cancel my long awaited trip to Global Gathering with literally all my mates. I spent the whole of this weekend avoiding Radio 1 because of the 10 mentions of Global per minute, and answering the phone to my mates at 3 in the morning telling me how great it is and holding the phone up to the speaker so I just got an inaudible fuzz coming down the phone to me.
Then I met up them on their return last night, heard their stories, looked at their photos and for the first time in my life felt jealous of someone else's hangover/come down!
This put me in a foul mood until about an hour ago, when I decided to cheer myself up. So I've just booked my flights to Ibiza for all the closing parties in September. Can't wait. More than makes up for the month I've just had!
