Can anyone recommend any?

I want to look into getting my seats made into full leather. I'm not going to do this now, but it's something I'd like to get done in the future as I think it's something that will separate it from other Zed's and just make it nicer overall :)

How much does something like this cost?

Can anyone recommend any one in the South East?

Many Thanks,
Jake :)

A proper job including all seats and matching interior trim could come to £1500+

Someone I know with a 206 "show car" spent about that on two bucket seats trimmed in contrasting leather (two colours).

Hmm. Well the seats are half leather already, that's why I didn't think it would cost quite that much?

Thanks though :)

My Elise seats were half leather and I got the centre pieces done in alcantara, that cost £1000 so don't expect much change out of a grand unless you want a really nasty job doing. They have to unpick the entire seat pretty much, make a template, cut it, sew it and put it all back together, takes ages to do hence the cost.

Fair enough, I know it's not going to be cheap - but atleast it's giving me a figure I can work with :)

They'd do the whole seat, surely. I doubt they'd re use the leather from your bolsters, it would look odd and pretty bad if you had new leather mismatched with worn leather. Don't you agree? If the seats were brand new then I wouldn't see it as much of a problem.

Leather is not cheap, sadly. Definitely worth it, though. Answer to this is do what eidolon did! Alcantara!

no they can re use your existing half leather if you want.

It might look kind of odd, which is why some get the fabric part of the half leather changed from something like alcantara to hide the difference in the ages of the leather.

all depends on the condition of your current leather though.

Shame you are looking to do this just because its different for a 'zed'.
one of the things like most about the 'zeds' is the half leather seats.

unless you have heated seats i wouldnt bother with full leather.
hell, i wouldnt purposefully buy leather anymore!

leather seats just don't suit some cars, i saw an Avensis the other day with full leathers just looked cheap and nasty, half leathers at least look sporty and stand out over normal cloth.

Over on the Briskoda forums these guys get good reviews constantly:

Prices are also quite reasonable.
I spoke to them about a rough price to go Full Leather in my Octavia vRS.
They quoted back at £850+vat
That's for full leather and the door cards too.

At the moment money can be better spent elsewhere, however after hearing of how good a job they do I may well consider this at some point.

I'm not looking to do it just to stand out from the crowd, I'd like full leather - that's it really, one of the benefits of having it done means it'll stand out from the crowd.

Which ZS do you have Phate?

Mk1 180 :) which no longer sounds like a bag of spanners I might add :D

Awesome, shall give them a shout for a price.

Thank you :)

It's worth noting that the company I mentioned mainly deal with dealerships.
You may well get the impression from the site that if you aren't looking to have 10 cars done then don't bother contacting them.
However loads of people have done and they seem more than willing to do one-offs for individuals.

They have all the templates etc and put logos on if you require.
One guy who had his Fabia done posted some pictures here:

The following thread has a load of pictures from other people who have had the re-trim:

How much have you spent on your MG so far?

Not a lot. I do a lot of the work myself...

Tyres - £340
new inlet manifold and vis valves £335 (did that yesterday)
new alternator £50
Uprated brakes all round £300
Induction £200
Fuel - wouldn't want to know :p

To be fair out of all that the only stuff I've had to spend not out of choice is the inlet manifold and vis valves.
although my cambelt service is due and thats £640 :(
