Retuned our digi box (Humax 9200), BBC1 was saying bad/no signal so thought it might be to do with the switchover that's happening.

But now everything that runs off Mux 1 is unavailable :(

The house is only a couple of years old and have never had any problems with the current aerial, any ideas what might be up??

All other channels on other multiplexes are fine.

hmm get's weird.

We live near a big transmittor, it's a few miles away.

However the box is saying for each channel that it's tuned into one that's quite far away.

Now never had any problems before, and if the other further transmittor hasn't been switched over yet (the one close by has had bbc2 and mux1 turned off I believe) I'm stumped as to why it doesn't work now :(

All sorted now!

I called the digital uk helpline but I'd already worked it out, my stuff was still looking at Stockland Hill when it should have been looking at Beacon Hill.

All I wanted to find was the Mux channel numbers but couldn't find them anywhere, so I could do a manual tune to Mux 1 to get bbc.

The nice chap told me where to go on their site to get the info.

Go to http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/

Put your postcode and house name in the checker thing

On the pink bar that says postcode checker results, click on trade view

Get the Mux channel number for Mux 1 (which is channel 60)

Manual tune to channel 60 and I bet you're bbc channels will come back. But make sure you delete your old ones as the problem I had was my box had remembered the old tuning (channel 52) which was wrong as it was pointing to Stockland. So the first manual tune I did it didn't work, but as soon as I'd deleted the channels then retuned it was ok.

The power level from Stockland was well down, maybe due to them cranking up the Beacon Hill transmittor.

Im using beacon hill transmiter as its within spitting distance of me.

Thing my BBC issue is something to do with windows 7 (7068) MCE, as i can get BBC1 etc fine on my tv downstairs, but not with MCE.

MCE just goes through a constant loop of trying to install PlayReady.

Ahh right, no idea how MCE would work.

Can almost see Beacon Hill from here, at just about the highest point up on the willows so can see most of the bay

Strangely enough, I live in Paignton and my 9200 also had this issue, but what I did was a factory reset and all the channels came back. What interests me is that in the 2 years of owning my 9200 it has always received its signal from Stockland Hill, so maybe I should manually tune it into Beacon Hill? This seems logical as BH is only 3km from me, where as SH is 55km, what do you think and did you notice any improvement in PQ from using a transmitter closer to you?

My 9200 has always picked up from Stockland as well, living in Paignton and then Torquay, no idea why.
