I bought something from a shop within the EU and it's damaged and needs to be sent back. I'm just wondering if they are suppose to refund the return costs of if I have to pay them?

I know if they are in the UK, shop pays for the return on faulty stuff, but within the EU I'm not sure. Looking around some people seem to say it's the same as UK for any shop within the EU, others seem to say depends on country or shop policy.

Return policy on the shop doesn't seem to mention damaged goods. Only that they pay if it's their mistake (wrong item etc) and you pay if it's yours.

So not sure who pays it :(, any one know?

Thanks.

I'm sure I read somewhere on these very forums that even returning things under DSR within the EU, it's common practice for the retailer to pay return postage costs.

As above though, just ask them.
