Perhaps, because he's not very funny. He's one of the worst on the circuit along with that idiot on Mock the Week who just tells one liners, a whole show on "one liners" it's painful to watch.

I think he's great

The only person I think that really doesn't fit in the UK scene at all is that Milton Jones bloke, he has very dry one liners that have nothing to do with the current topic in Mock the Week etc..

He is funny. Only famous comedian I've met was Phil Jupitus - quite a shy guy oddly enough!

As a rule of thumb American/Canadian's who get sarcasm are generally quite funny indeed.
Rich Hall is a really good show, for me topped by Doug Stanhope. Hall was a time before him though as were quite a few including Hedberg.
Oh and Hicks.
