I don't get why you are 'roll-eying' I was actually wondering who was going and wondered what they were expecting.
I didn't think I got tickets till last week when they came in the post.
Guess it was a first come - first serve on the free tickets.

Nah this is the second date! they had to schedule a second lecture in a bigger venue - the first tickets went straight away and they put another date (tomorrow) in the philharmonic.

Really he's up here? Apparently his lectures are worth going to...dang I never knew he was on yet bizarrely enough I always use the cash point on the side of the building (where there's adverts etc.).
I only found out as my friend is doing a masters there - she rang me to order some tickets for us all for the first lecture, but because it got so much demand got tickets for the next lecture at the Philharmonic.

haha don't worry - I totally get why he annoys people, I just enjoyed some of his works and thought it would be interesting to go to his talk.
It was free and I am a total geek for meeting authors and the like.
