Rift free access 8/4-11/4

I tried the last free weekend and couldn't decide if I liked it or not! Have discovered I can use a code again so this weekend will be my second attempt at it. :D
 
Well the fact that the same codes work on several free weekends and for multiple people must mean that they're sneakingly trying to let people play the game and get hooked and subscribe, without publicly releasing a trial account on their front page of their offical website. Because they know that loads of people are going to post hundreds of codes on tens of forums which will be seen by tens of thousands of people and out of them they prob hope for 5-10% to sign up.

I guess thats kind of clever, but hey, if I worked it out lol :p

OMG is this one thing that I really miss in games like Guild Wars, DDO and Lotro - Finding rares and magic stuff.

I love farming for rare items in Sacred 2, I always have to pump up my magic find and try to get uber rare set items.

Most MMOs these days have streamlined rare item finding for casual players who dont like spending ages looking for rare stuff. I'm not THAT casual, I want my epic rare items and the enjoyment and satisfaction of farming for them.

And I dont like it when you need to play with others to be able to get certain loot lik in DDO, where all the end game raid level loot is only available in raids, and you can only repeat them every 3 days. Seriously what a crappy quest and loot system DDO has ..... I spent WEEKS on end trying to get a phoenix robe for my wizard, and some tharnes goggles for my rogue, and after never even seeing them drop I raged the epic unfun grindfest :(

Grinding is fun, if I can do it on my own without having to spend ages flagging for the quests that drop the items, and dont have a super long 3 day cooldown timer between being able to do the quests that drop the rare loot.

On the other hand, Guild Wars just gives everything you need ou to everyone for absolutely no effort. It works for GW though because it lets everyone get right into the gameplay, but theres no epic feel to getting unique and rare items, because they are far too common and mostly junk compared to what you can already get without any effort.

But I also refuse to get stuck into paying fees ... Gimmeh Diablo III NAOW!!!

Just a reminder there's a lot more codes back on the first page of this thread and that each one can be used 5 times so give each one a try until you get one that works.

I always wanted to try Sacred 2 but was put of by the amount of bugs that ware supposed to be in the game. Has this been sorted or still buggy as hell?

its my experiences with Oblivion and Fallout that make me worried :p

but downloading the client now for this free weekend wont hurt to try
