That's mild enough for an mmo, I'd imagine you're getting a lot of the gameworld, even if you don't have access to it yet.
I didnt get a invite but had a key
waited ages on mmorpg on the vip key giveaway had to post in first 100 comments and time the page loaded it was over 180
WarCry are giving away a few hundred keys today, released around 10pm gmt last night, follow them on twitter, and make sure you sign up for an account, get something like tweet deck so you get an audio reminder and as soon as they tweet it, go get a key, worked for me last night

Downloaded about 4gb of it last night, and when I started the patcher just now it's trying to do all 6.5gb again 
none left
No they went in about half an hour, wait for the next batch which as I say, are coming out tonight, follow them on twitter.
Anyway first impressions of the patching process while I wait for server to come up:
Extremely polished, launcher looks snazzy, and made used 100% of my download limit for the couple of hours it took to download the files, however apparently it doesn't save progress, so if you pc shuts down or something you have to restart, hopefully that can be fixed, they've already patched it twice since yesterday.

Looks like it could be a good game, unfortunately i couldn't find a VIP key without having to pay for it so i won't be playing this round. I'll still be watching and waiting though.

No, thats a standard 'chance to get an invite' key, VIP keys specifically have VIP in them, as mine does, best thing to do is follow @RiftGame and @WarCryNetwork on twitter.
