Does this look fine? Also would i need to buy a sata cable for the hard drive or does it come with one? Thanks.

If he wants to game I'd drop the processor to a 4300 and overclock it, using the savings to get a better graphics card (X1950Pro). The motherboard comes with all the SATA cables you'll need.

Spec looks pretty much spot on except you should take supernova's advice, get an E4300, and get a better graphics card. Maybe stretch to a 8800GTS 320MB?

You'd need to buy a SATA hard drive though. ;) ATA-100 is also known as IDE and the SATA drive is about £20 cheaper which would allow you to buy an X1950pro with the savings. :)

As has been mentioned you get SATA cables with the motherboard.
