The VTX cooler will vent more hot air out of the case but the Gigabyte cooler looks better.

looks nicer, but will it disperse the heat as well as thoe VTX3D?
the warrenty isnt too much of an issue as the chances of me having the card in 2-3 years time is very low.

I'd be going for the gigabyte personally. Cooler will more than likely be quieter and more efficient. 3 year UK based warranty is unbeatable.

If you do decide to overclock, the better cooler on the Gigabyte will come into its own.

ok think thats sorted then the gigabyte HD5850 it is, i assumed being an enclosed system it would keep it cooler.
is overclocking software now, or is there mods that need to be done to the card too?

been googling it and some sites are saying they OC well and you get good FR increases, others say its mininmal increases in FR.
