Right so...........singing and playing guitar in 4 months

Earlier I suggested something with a C Am F G progression of which there are 1000s of songs but it was a quick reply.
The only trouble is F can be a bugger to play and even after 40 years I shy out of it and use a barre chord.
Boxman2000 hit the nail in a post above when he mentioned G Em C D.
It is still the same as a C Am F G progression but far easier to play.

The chords used in the verse are all very similar, the chorus is only 2 chords (G and Em) which are very easy to switch between.

The hardest part is the strumming and developing the coordination to do both things at once, the trick is to practise the guitar part until it's second nature - so you don't have to concentrate on it.

I can't sing. I used to be able to sing, but that was before my balls dropped :p. Haven't sung since so I'm assuming I can't.

Guitar skills are non existant. Never touched one before.
