if I want to make an EXACT backup of all my CD's - is a WAV file good enough?

I use EAC and the WAV output is EXACTLY the same (in size) as that on the CD track for track according to EAC

Second Q

If size is no issue - what is the absolute 100% BEST format to save a track in - wav etc??
