Grr

New phone arrives and I find I can't use it as it's micro sim.

How must risk is there of borking it with just using scissors?

Plenty of youtube vids to help ya mate but if I was you I'd go down town & get a Free Micro SIM from whoever does them & then bring that home to use as a template.

Also plenty of cutting templates as well as dimensions on the net for microsims. It is a tad risky just triple check that you are cutting it properly and you'll be fine.

I've always cut my larger sims into appropriate sizes....accidentally ordered 15 full size Network 3 sims for my iPad :) Yet to mess one up when they expire!

I will just pick one up from argos (pound) just to be sure. Then I can see where the contacts should be

I just went into my high street network store and asked them to give me a micro-sim with my number on it.

The guy behind the counter sorted it all out and it was transferred in 2 hours, the cost was nothing.

This. I went to my network's (O2) store and they did it for free. Transferred over in under an hour for me.

Same applied for my dad when he moved his Vodaphone sim to a micro one.

I got a stapler style sim adapter and I've done 3 sims with no problem but if you're adapting a contract sim there could be a fee to replace a damaged sim, with that in mind I'd go to the shop for a change over.

Ah will they do to this f you are PAYG?

Also do they need tbe old sim? I guess they do

Good job I rang.

They can't. Apparently I have to get one sent from 3 and it will auto transfer over

Done it twice. printed out a template that you stick on the regular sim and used a craft knife. Both work(ed) perfectly.
