Garmin have offered me any mount, besides dog mount, off their website for the Virb (shame they don't have any combo mounts for original Virb) after part that holds the cradle snapped off the other day (I crashed while mountain biking).

Not too bad for Garmin Support!

Shout out for the LBS.

Before gambling and ordering headset uppers off the internet I went in and asked nicely.

Pulled out a drawer of 10 or more bearing caps in 1 1/8" and let me choose, then wouldn't take any money for it! Win win! So I have an FSA one which measures 6.5mm to replace the Cane Creek 17mm volcano.

I won't do it until Sunday with Saturday being state race, but looks like I'm sorted, that's 10mm of drop for free.

Cool, let us know how you get along with it! I hadn't really noticed the Lifeline range of lights before...
About to commute home between hail showers... Fingers crossed!:rolleyes:

Heavy rain and strong winds when I left work, this progressed to hail and a brutal headwind. It hurt. I stopped at some lights and shook my head, a lump of compressed hailstones (in the shape of one of my helmet vents) landed on the road next to my front wheel! Thankfully that was followed by a drop in the winds and some heavy rain again for good measure (to make sure I was fully soaked). When I reached home, around 100 yards before my destination the rain stopped and the sun came out. My eye protection steamed up.

All in the space of 17 minutes.:cool:
I'm at 1500 miles for the year so far. Not bad. Commuting is certainly helping with racking up the miles.
Good going! :D
I'm well up on pace for my mileage goal for the year too! :D

A shout out to Stages, they replaced my power meter which was having issues and massive battery drain a few months away from the end of my 2 year warranty without and hassle or problems. A new v2 model turned up in the post which was a nice surprise. Thought it would be forwards and backwards, you've used submerged it, bashed it etc.

Fantastic customer support.

Why don't they send you the v3 model though since they released it to cure known issues in the v2? Counter productive as your new v2 very well might be as sketch as the last and they end up having to replace this one as well!

same - I've double what I did to this point last year. I set 2000 as my goal (not much for some people i know) but with family, 2 kids, self employed and no commuting that was decent for me.

Currently at 810 -160 ahead of schedule.

Also has anyone tried this add on to Strava via chrome browser - man it's amazing - tells you tons of other info and stuff. Very good.

I have the stravistix plugin.
It's good but now I cant remember what it adds and what is a standard part of strava :/

I'll check this out :D Thanks

I think I have Strava Enchanced at home currently

Definitely the way to go if you look at the top riders, most are on tri frames of some sort. The tube shapes on the Felt are crazily deep compared to what you get away with on a UCI bike!

Yeah it's ridiculous. Will have to get some new wheels to set it off.

That TT bike looks awesome! hurry up with the built pics already:D

Will be completed tomorrow and Saturday and tried out in an open 10 Saturday evening with luck.

Need the non drive side crank as managed to not pick it up when I collected. Fitting is gonna be a pain as it's completely different from my current bike.

How much does cold affect your leg muscles?
I went out for a ride last night A>B. I've done it before, last october. I got loads of PRs this time around, but overall was slower (average) - due to slowing down in the last 20% or so of the ride. Was -2 and my legs were cold and/or feeble.

I got the new Evade as well but in red.... I got it Friday last week and it's a fantastic lid. In both comfort and safety seeing as mine is already going back to Sigma under crash replacement as it has a neat crack right through whole thing where it saved my brain on Sunday.
Saw that on Strava comments only this morning mate! Hope you're ok and not too battered, or the bike for that matter!? :o

Awesome ride up until that point, well ridden and looks like some great form! Hope the arm and other knocks heal quickly!

Glad the bike is ok!

Also spotted a segment on your ride for Von... :D

Great news their support are good, fear it's only a matter of time until my mount breaks! :o

Good going, keep it up! I'm paranoid about my mileage dropping at the end of the year (due to weather & darkness) and my 'buffer' not being big enough lol ;)

I was absolutely frozen on last night's ride after work.

My feet were like blocks of ice & leg muscles just wouldn't generate any power.
Cold certainly affects your power output IMO, it took me all night to warm back up had the central heating & fire going good & was still cold all night.

I guess rule 5 applies! :D

I find it much harder in the cold and seem to put out about 10% last power for what feels like similar effort. I wonder if this is because your body is having to work harder to keep your warm and is diverting blood away from your muscles but I'm not a physiologist.

You also have to factor in that riding in the cold is slower due to increased air density, which is why the temperature gets cranked right up for indoor events.

Just looking at Strava... Last week was my busiest week of riding yet. 115 miles of commuting plus a metric century at the weekend made for a total of 177 miles. Not bad. I'm forecasting a few more weeks like that this year, particularly if I go ahead with doing the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool 100 miler, which would put me at over 200 for one week.

Thanks man.
Saddle is scuffed but OK, carbon on one wheel has a scuff with the QR ruined. Left shifter scuffed. Frame not a mark on it so I have been very lucky indeed.
Need replace the helmet and my arm/leg warmers as they are all wrecked.
Would all hurt a lot less if it wasn't in a stupid little sportive haha.
Might go back to hospital tomorrow for double check. Got ambulance'd after crash and xray all clear but something aint right.

If there was meat on those bones you'd be fine! :-P
