Hello
After selling my Canyon AL and Boardman I decided to invest the money back into bike stuff and tied with the fact i'm trying to get a bit more serious about my cycling performance and after reading what seems like hundreds of reviews i decided to go for a Kickr. Coming from and old Minoura B60, I have to say this thing is amazing. I had never been on a smart trainer before and even after reading all the reviews i couldn't really get my head around how these things work/feel.
Yesterday I subscribed to Trainer Road again and loaded up a Sufferfest Fight Club video. Holy crap, it was amazing, the intervals where you have to match the power is insane. Its like witch craft. I I was on 198 watts then i had to sprint and go to 270 watts then a bit of climbing, then some TT all where you have to match the power. I had trouble getting the right gears to match the cadence required but power was ok until about 75% of the way through then i could feel myself fatiguing.
Id done this video before on my old trainer and it was a totally different experience on the Kickr.
I'm looking forward to trying Zwift on it over the weekend to see how it replicates the gradients and going up/down hills.
