The 24's as the 35's didn't have the same website price anomaly as the 24's (got them on Ribble for £263 not £363!). Unfortunately! :(

None of you keep spare pads around?! I've usually got 2 or 3 new sets floating around (and no, not in my saddle bag before you comment!) :p

Loads of brake pads but tyres like an old man's nutsack!

I'm still waiting for my 28s to arrive. When they do I'm going to swap out those and try them on the bike.

Got an email about this from a couple of shops so I assume it's nation wide, seems like Specialized are doing another amnesty deal where you trade in your old gear and get a discount on new stuff, this time with helmets. Looks like Echelon II for £30, Propero II for £40, S-Works Prevail for £80 and probably a few others depending on stock level.

Good luck TP :)

I'm off for a ride with Manc Wheelers again tomorrow. This one is an "experienced" level one so apparently 17-19mph (60/70 flat miles). Should be pretty reasonable.

I'm a bit perturbed to notice that part of the route goes down the A34 though...

Could you drop me a trust with this. Got an old helmet to trade in!

Probably a lot safer than some of the narrow Cheshire roads and the idiots in Range Rovers that frequent them though! You could always take the next exit of the roundabout and go back via Cheadle, only a tiny detour. I've got a 10 in the afternoon otherwise I'd be tempted out.

I got an email about it from Edinburgh Bikes and I saw a poster for it in a local bike shop today, I assume it's nation wide. Check out any local stores that carry specialized gear, best to go early as the offer is dependent on what stock they have.

Rode with the other 3 people from work who will be doing the Sportive today. It was nice riding with other people for a change. I tried to help out with headwinds but I either held everyone up or dropped them. So hard to judge the pace with people you've never ridden with before.

I'm glad I live right out from the city. We were on country roads but they were all rat runs into the city and traffic was a nightmare, was stressing me out!
