Spent this morning changing tyres and tube again. TT tyres on these roads just don't mix. Got some GP4000 IIs on now, so hopefully they'll stand up a bit better.

Need to order some more tubes in as I actually don't have any spare 80mm valves! :/

I've got Shaley on my todo list for the coming weeks, although I've no particular target in mind as physichull still hasn't beat me up there :p

Doubtless FT will take a minute out of me now...

Wasn't really feeling it so we just pootled along a 35 mile flat route. Got utterly utterly soaked by hideous rain for the last 15 miles.

Glad I got out before the weather turned though...

The left shouldn't need to index if it's a double. It's just two positions with a bit of trimming in the middle.

Great! Will get myself a couple of ten speed casettes and upgrade soon.

I found out last night when fitting the brakes that it seems my frame needs calipers woth "long drop"on the rear. I had been dragging my brake pads along the tyres partly and it's damaged the sidewall of the tyre badly.

I didn't have long drop, but I used a swivel washer from an MTB brake pad, and then used a long socket to put a small 5 degree bend in the fixing bolt. It's dropped the pads down to the rim with a bit to spare :)

Will see how it fairs on a proper ride soon. Might habe saved a bit of dosh right there :D

Apparently the tyres I have been using, schwalbe lugano, are terrible with huge rolling resistance, so will get them swapped out soon. I have some vittoria that I bought as spares ready to swap them out. See what difference they make :)

Checked the weather for the weekend and it's supposed to be 20degsC!! Looks like I've missed all the crappy weather whilst I've been away and then get to enjoy riding my bike in warm weather :D:)

Of course it is. Silly me. It's the pedal sensor for cadence. I never used the spoke one - GPS is better as said.

I'll shut up :(

HAHA, I almost went back to my post as I swore you were only on about speed :D

You just need to move the arm closer, or if no luck grab yourself one of the newer design that doesn't need a magnet.

Not so great down here today, took the TT bike out to try to make some saddle adjustments. Don't think I changed anything in the end after going back then forward... In the end I ran away from the rain and didn't get my bike too dirty :P Gave it a proper wipe down when I got home. I wonder how long that'll last! Amazing how easy it is to ride a pace with 0 effort in the position! The little tri pocket is perfect for a spare tube and some tools too!
