Rodney King was a disgusting scumbag. Good riddance.

Do any of you White liberals who worship him know that after his infamous incident, he was convicted of a hit and run and was arrested for drink driving. He was also shot in a gang related incident. But I'm sure you feel the rapes and deaths of all those in the LA riots partially made up for it.

Who do you think sold Black slaves to Jewish and European slave traders? The vast slaving empires of Africa existed for centuries before Europeans got there and it was Africans who made the slave trade possible. Good job the British eventually outlawed it although it still goes on today on Africa and the ME.

Rodney King had a tough life. Do I have sympathy for the man? To a certain extent, yes, of course, he had a tough ride. Do I think all of his choices were wise? No. Do I dismiss the man's place in history and his wider cultural significance because of other personal transgressions? No. To the above poster: the fact Rodney King was an alcoholic and had personal issues does not mean white-guilt over the LA Riots is stupid. They are completely divorced. The guy was beat up because of the colour of his skin; whether or not he was a criminal is irrelevant (though it should have been the only relevant interest to the police officer's that brutally beat him).

I do agree that most 'celebrity death' stories are a waste of print. But in the case of a death like Rodney King's, it presents a good opportunity to reflect on how much has truly changed since that day - for better or for worse. The fact he died early and was involved in a lot of trouble can say just as much about the way life is for many young adult black males in America as much as it can say anything negative about his own personality. Not everything is dictated by choice.

Pfft......how does any of that alter the fact that the vast majority of African Americans ancestors were forcibly introduced in tot he United States.......

OK, so victims of gun and knife crime in London are predominately black, in cases where the victim is black the offender is predominately black.

Are you suggesting we ignore the statistics in order that we don't offended people.

No I suggest we stop search and searches on racial minorities where in the vast majority of cases nothing is found.
What you don't understand is that there are absolutely loads of black youths who have nothing to do with gangs who have their privacy invaded on a regular basis.
I would hate to be black in London and I am sure you would as well.

Or how about actually only using stop and search where there is actual demonstrable reasons to believe that they are breaking the law...and not simply becasue their appearance fits a profile.....

yep I have a friend who is black and lives in london, we go out quite often, last time we were out he got stopped and searched and they ignored me, why because i am white, absolutely disgraceful, clearly we were out together, but they didn't even talk to me.

They kept asking him what he was doing, where he was going etc. etc. clearly because he was black, what ****ing right do the police have to ask someone where they have been/going, where they live etc. invade their personal space and humiliate them in public, when they haven't done nothing wrong.

I took the numbers of all the PC's involved and made a complaint to the Met but we all know how that goes, look after their own! should have video'd it and put it on youtube and made a fuss, but they probably would have kicked my head in or something

Lol I'm sure everyone who read the op knows of what he got upto.so? I work with people who have been convicted for worse . Infact in sure there are people on here who have done worse. Doesn't make them disgusting scumbags

Seriously blaming him for the riots too? It was the actions of police and jurors that caused the riots. Mr king was just a passenger

The deaths, assaults, burglaries, incidents of arson and countless other crimes were because of the actions of police and jurors?

This is the most ludicrous comment I think I've read on here, and there are some seriously ludicrous comments floating around!

Surely the above mentioned crimes were caused by...... (wait for it)..... The people actually committing the crimes!!!
 
Criminals should be prosecuted for their actions.

The police should be prosecuted for abusing their powers.
