rooney's red card incident (video clip)

OK either you're his mother or you have his posters all over your bedroom wall and a shrine dedicated to him.

I don't really rate him as a player think he is greedy and holds on to the ball for too long.

I am not a troll either....

Has rooney ever done the same thing as him i.e. go to the ref and tell him what he thinks? Yes he has and usually with a lot of obscenities, which annoys me so much.... So why do we have double standards?

Ronaldo has played in the premiership for two seasons now... This is part of the English game to surround the ref and tell him what you think...

If he is a bad sportsman that also means most of the players in the premiership are also bad sportsman.

Why the double standards?

Rooney needs to stop pushing people he does it so often. I remember in euro 2004 rooney was involved in an incident with some players and a tackle and rooney was shouting and henry came running in and rooney pushed henry to the floor. He should have got a card for this too.

Which is basically the same thing that ronaldo did, even though ronaldo didn't confront rooney directly then. Luckily rooney didn't get sent off in that match, but did we say Henry is a bad sportsman? No?

Same situation...

Rooney behaves in the same fashion and you don't critise him same with the rest of the England team and same for the whole of premiership football.

Do I have a valid point here or not, if you think I am wrong tell me why? I am not here trolling, I think I have valid points. Instead of insulting me and acting like a yob why don't you tell me why I am wrong?

Ronaldo was only sticking up for his team mate who had just been stamped on, compare that to the rest of the England team who seemed to care little, shows the difference between team spirit and a group of indivduals IMO...anyway

I think he deserved the red card, but I am still not sure the ref actually seen it and it looks more like he sent him off for the push, as he really did not seem to be interested in even booking Rooney prior to the shove on Ronaldo.

No It's not. If I ever see Ronaldo I will probably break his legs, nose, arm and rip his balls off.

And it shows what kind of person you are.... disgusting comments

Also if you actually want to enter a serious disccusion comment on my last post, I am sure you will have to agree with some of my points because they are facts...

The only reason the Portuguese players approached the player was to get Rooney sent off, if they were sticking up for their mate they would've planted one on Rooney, but I can't see Mr Gay and his friends doing that. The English players had more sense than to protest to the referee, nothing to do with team spirit.

No i don't watch Ronaldo that much but what iv seen of him hes a very good player, and seems to have a lot more talent than Rooney.

Well he scored less goals and made less assists than Rooney in the last season and both had a similar disciplinary record, I'd much rather have Rooney in my team than a circus performer.

Are you actually trying to say ronaldo is a better player than rooney? Hmm, I think 99% of people that know anything about football would disagree with you, surely meaning that it is pretty much fact that rooney is a better player.

carvegio, aint gona waste my time, your just a wind up mate.

No I am not trying to be. I wanted England to win.. But I don't like the attitude in here or in the pubs I have been to.

I didn't think Rooney should have been sent off. That was silly, but so have a lot of the red cards in this tourament.

I think fifa is a joke with the refs and the mandates they gave out this year.

But seriously don't blame this on Ronaldo.

Rooney didn't lose us the game, Ronaldo didn't lose us the game. England lost the game..

Yeah i am saying Ronaldo is a better player than Rooney. I believe that Rooney is rated way to high and has never done much for england to shout about.

He is nothing on shearer or any other old england forwards. Ronaldo is very skillfull and just becuase he got on your nerves with his 'attitude' it doesn't make him a bad footballer.

Why not? He got possibly our most influential player sent off.

On purpose.

You'll find it very difficult to get anyone that watches or plays footy to agree with you. Ronaldo is a show pony. I understand how he'd look amazing to someone that doesn't really know footy, but to anyone else Rooney would be their choice of the two.

I think its clear that rooney was sent of for stamping not for what Ronaldo did or didnt say. However what he did isnt sporting behaviour but just becuase it was agaisnt england he is now the "devil" of football, demanding things from refrees is rife in football, yes ronaldo is wrong but he is not the reason england lost.

dont miss penaltys!!!!!!!!

I don't like Ronaldo or Rooney. Send them to live in house with each other and try and get along. Silly footballers being paid too much money.

Although I'm no Rooney fan that wasn't a red card at all. If the ref send him off for a push why doesn't he give cards to everyone who runs up to him in a intimidating way?

In my opinion that stamp wasn't intentional in my eyes. It looked like he was just trying to get his footing and I hate Wayne Rooney.
