With the purchase of my PSP, I want to buy a Wireless router. I want it to be at least capable of 54Mbps.

I have NTL, so need a broadband router (Not ADSL) and would like it to have all the toys so I can do various SNMP monitoring, VPN, access it from work etc.

Can someone please recommend me a a couple of routers?

Maybe they're upgraded the firmware in later versions, or the WRT54GS has it anyway, but with my old WRT54G there was no SNMP support - I had to add it with the Sveasoft firmware, and it was a little unstable with that. Just something to bear in mind.

ZyXEL 652H may or may not be worth having a look at.

Been reading a lot of reviews on Linksys WRT54GS and there is mixed reviews.

Some saying SNMP support isnt support some say they are, and there are a number of people giving this router a bad review.

I have that Linksys WRT54GS and have had no problems with it whatsoever. I first had a Belkin one, but it was a pile of rubbish. Swapped it for the Linksys on and havn't looked backed since

Can you confirm it also supports snmp management & VPN?

My GS definitely does SNMP, but I'm not running the default Linksys firmware - Sveasoft Talisman with an SNMP package tacked on.

I had a look through the web config interface of the router, i couldn't find anything to do with SNMP, but i did find something to do with VPN -
