router to replace rubbish sky's

thanks for helping me out tealc!

unfortunately i think we have reached a dead end. The wall socket should be removable in principle, but it is "glued" with paint or whatever and I can't really destroy that

So I guess I can't do much as of now can I ?

I'm sure you could get that off without trashing the wall. It's probably just where it's been painted around and that's making it appear stuck in place. Otherwise though I don't think you'll be able to do much and I honestly don't think a new router is going to gain you much, if anything.

Your line stats point to there being a possibility of your internal wiring holding you back but unfortunately without taking that front plate off you won't really be able to know for sure.

Thanks Phemo!

I actually retried and indeed I've been able to remove the panel. So the line stats are now :

What do you say ?

Looks like your BT line length or maybe quality of the BT line is what gives you the 7Mbit connection speed rather than any internal issue. It's always worth trying this direct connection out just to eliminate things.

Ok so nothing I can do except moving out... :p

Thanks for all the help guys. I still have to buy something for my home wireless network... What would you advice me to get ?
