Royal Mail shares

Was a postal worker in 2007 till 2010 part time, noticed a colleague share certificate dated 2007 which shows 206 colleague shares.

I should have 3 years worth around 1000 maybe more, but dont really have an idea as have moved a few times since working there so they probally dont have an address.

Would these be wothless? I totally forgot about them. I guess they would be for workers only still with Royal Mail?

They're only for people still at Royal Mail of course. I'm expecting a dividend in this month's pay

They are not the current shares, Google royal mail phantom shares

Colleague shares... Ah, that takes me back.

I think I've still got my certificate!

It was all a big con. The general idea was these 'shares' were tied to Modernisation™ and the profits/savings this would produce. Strangely, when the time came for one of the big payouts, we were told Royal Mail had suddenly become completely worthless. Seriously.

Then a year or two later they sold us for several billion.
