RSS news time - Teenage girl dies after first kiss

Let's have some decency people. This isn't a thread for jokes or inappropriate comments.

Finally

I've noticed a lot when people post threads about people dying in unusual ways half the forum contribute to the thread with a lot of jokes that arnt funny

why not show some respect for the dead FFS

Humour is a completely natural way to deal with the bleak hopelessness of our lives. If we took everything so seriously and had hangups over every misfortune our lives will be a drudgery.

Imagine if she had popped her clogs during sex, now that would traumitise the poor chap and it would have been a much more awkward one to explain away :p

on a serious note (I'm not a complete *******) that's horrible to pass away at that age. I had a friend pass away at 20 suddenly with no warning. She's still missed to this day by us all :(

She'd have came and went at the same time.

It's a bit shocking really, 500 people die from this each year?

Is it because of a weak heart and can't handle anxiety?

I doubt this was the first time in her life that she was anxious/stressed. Thinking of exams, tests etc she must have had other times even more stressful. It just happens and it happened in such an unusual coincidence for her, that's all.

It happens for a reason though.

I didn't say it was her first time feeling anxiety, more that her body can't cope and that was the final cut.

Indeed. I've never really understood the 'show the dead respect' ethos. They're in a better place anyway.

Do you crack jokes at funerals? If not, why not?

The reason why you show the dead respect is because you are aware that there is a very close person to them somewhere that is mourning heavily, unlike the living. I guess the rule of thumb is that if you wouldn't crack a joke about a dead person in front of their loved ones you shouldn't do it behind their back. Or to put it differently, if in the case their loved ones overheard you, would you feel bad? If yes then you shouldn't do it. If not, carry on and laugh your heart out. Morals differ from person to person and between cultures but I thought that the ethos about respecting dead was pretty clear even to those who may not agree with it.

No doubt about that, I just think that the kiss was a coincidence, it could have been anything similar. I guess my point is that the kiss was not some superanxiety factor that surpassed previous experiences, it was just that one more that tipped the balance.

It's been reported because of the bizarre circumstances.

For some people having their first kiss is extremely overwhelming, I certainly know mine was. As a young teenager I had very bad anxiety issues. :o
