Does anyone know what the main differences are between these two? All I can see is the Asus is the same length so has less but bigger fans I’m guessing, and clocks a minuscule amount higher, but the Gigabyte has the extra fan which might help with cooling? The Gigabyte also cheaper.. wondering why some have 2 and some have 3 fans also..

I’ve only ever had Gigabyte cards so tempted to stick with, but willing to be open minded also.

Thanks!

Thank you guys seems the Asus is the more sensible option here then. Although I’m now actually wondering if I should pay the extra and go for the 7000 XT at £749… problem is I have a 34” Alienware 1440p display which has gsync, I’ve always had Nvidia so not sure how that would weigh in… 20gb memory on the card sounds mad though… or would I be better off aiming for the 4070 still..?

Bah mine is the AW3418DW which I think was purely gsync only. It’s a stunning screen regardless, I wonder how much any of this would matter if the gpu can push out over the 100fps most of the time on these cards anyway?

For me Gsync is too valuable to lose on a screen like that, just grab the cheapest 4070 you can and enjoy for a few years and sorted :)
Thanks Jedi, yeah I think even if I'm getting 70 or 80 fps, ideally I'd want 120 to match the 120hz refresh rate, but the gsync makes it so smooth it's just wonderful. I think I'm better off sticking with the 4070 then. Although, I know it's a tad more, I'm tempted by the £749 price on the AMD RX 7900XT...

I'm thinking now to go 4070ti as it will be an upgrade on the rtx 3080 and 4070 without the mental prices of the 4090... I'll be gaming at 3440x1440p and hoping to upgrade to the oled version of my screen in near future which has 165hz refresh. This gpu will average that fps and higher so I think at the moment at least a 4080/4090 is just overkill unless I went 4k res. However, which one to get, there's oc versions, tuf versions lol, it's mad

Hmm. I think I agree but the ti will yield another 70fps in some games but of course is nearly £300 more.. urrrgh! Maybe I’ll just get a 4070 after all and just wait a bit before upgrading
