I have always had rucksacks for college / work. But quite fancy switching to one of these "messenger" type satchels.

A lot look quite.. how shall i put this? Feminine.

Where can I get a good one? are they infact any good ? (I have loads of gadgets like PPC, MP3 player, USB Pens).
Most importantly - what do I search for ?
"Manly bag" ?

Really struglling to find a good online supplier for these.

So basically i need a good messenger bag with lots of pockets and looks like it belongs to a man :D

I'd recommend bike shops for courier bags, alternatively get a record bag type thing. I used to have a Mambo briefcase thing, it suited me perfectly for all my books and stuff, and had loads of wee gadgety pockets.

I still think rucksacks are better, simply because they tend to be bigger and are easier to carry for any length of time

Animal does one £20 - i have one
Diesel does one - £40 - I want this one next, actually have a small version.
Ted Baker £40
Adidas £20 (very chavvy)

www.pakuma.com are quite good I think, though personally I don't like messenger bags, tried one once and just found it made walking funny. I got the Akara K2 on that site. OcUK sell them I think as well, have a look under cases.

Oh yeah they are laptop bags. Woops forgot that :o still might be worth looking :p

LOL! Reminds me of an Eposoide of Friends when Joey gets a bag you want and everyone laughs at him :p . I think they're cool though. I had one for a New York art trip and a couple of people said "cool bag" :D

I'd prefer a man to have a messenger bag rather than a rucksack.

Just cleaner, nicer lines, and the look good swung across the body.

And as gay as a maypole!

Seriously!

Our local pub attracts a cross-section of people: chain-smoking geriatric curmudgeons, to emo-haired students. And every single one who comes in wearing a bag like that is a homosexual male. That is not a generalisation - in this small sample of society it's a fact.

We call them "puff bags".

Sheffield must be a very small society :p

the irony is that "bum bags" are the preserve of American tourists ;)

However I must admit my homo-metroghey side was admiring the Jost man-bags on that ebags site- then I say the prices
