Rumor: Call of Duty 7 coming in November

Set in Vietnam they say. Thoughts? What would you want to see in this next instalment (or get rid of!)?

According to a "senior UK trade source" who allegedly spoke with CVG, the next Call of Duty game from Treyarch will be set in Vietnam and arrive at retailers this November. "It's going to be November again - just as with World At War and Modern Warfare 2," the source was quoted as saying.

I love the call of duty games that Trayarch produce, I may be in the minority however.

I'll be getting this

The only hint that xbox360achievements.org gives that its a rumour is the question mark in the title!

It would be nice, although not going to get my hopes up. Especially if it's anything like MW2, single player wise.

Don't understand the COD hype at all.

It's gonna be exactly like MW2, calling in Napalm strikes, general mayhem, perks, carnage.

It sold well for MW2 so Activision will force them probably.

Vietnam is what I've been waiting for for ages!!!
Not since Battlefield Vietnam have we had a truly good FPS

It took me a while to get into waw, but now I appreciate Treyarch abit more, so this should be something to brighten next Xmas up.

Best thing about this setting is no thermal scopes

Getting sick of snipers on wasteland just sitting at the back of the map.

I've not played a treyarch game since CoD:UO so it will be interesting to see what they do this time.

I DID really like BF Vietnam, tbh. It's an awesome war game era. Always overlook for some reason.

It's strange really, as far as war goes, the Vietnam war always made the "coolest" films hehe.

What I would really like is to be able to join games that aren't already 3/4's of the way through. Happened 6 times in a row so far and 2 of them were games that had 1 second left for the other team to win =/

This would be pretty much the same as WaW. I can't say I'd rush out to buy it, far too many games of this era, at least MW2s setting has cool stuff like thermal aeroplane mounted cannons and russians storming burger king to mix things up.

I thought that was announced after COD4 as well, no more Treyarch games?

Anyways, IMO WAW was good, it was just the crappy WW2 pop guns that made it annoying.

More modern weapons + Treyarch game balancing = win.
