You'll only be happy if they stopped producing any new graphics cards for 2 years after what ever you've bought, you're so indecisive!![]()

theres always a way round the warranty.ill be suprised if they stop the unlocking. anything that allow them to get out of warranty claims is a good thing as far as these companies are concerned

so you really think that with a eprom that can save its state without power that it cant tell the manufacturer that it has been tampered with. im sure they know if a card has been flashed.
i rma a card that died it had a different bios on it. got a replacement no problemso you really think that with a eprom that can save its state without power that it cant tell the manufacturer that it has been tampered with. im sure they know if a card has been flashed.
Where does it say that you invalidate your warranty by flashing the cards?
no.gareth170 did your card died cause you flashed it with 6970 bios?
Any alteration? It gives you 2 Bioses, so that you can flash one. So it's definitely ok to flash your bios. What makes it ok to flash it with some Bioses and not others?i don't own one of these cards but I'm sure that if you read the warranty carefully it will say that any alteration to the card will invalidate your warranty.
Well maybe, but aren't you jumping to conclusions? For example, increasing the voltage may invalidate some warranties, but OCUK cover you when overclocking CPUs and GCs, so what's special about this particular overclock that means you're not covered.Common sense.
