And given the superb cooling system in the 580 hopefully this might be the first top end dual GPU part to not sound like a jet engine under load.

I can play BF:BC 2 on my 8800GT at 1900x1200 with 2AA and some AF.
will probably hold off on the 560 sli for a few more weeks and see what this is like price wise
Given that a 3gig 580 costs £480, I'd say that James J's estimates above aren't out of order.
The gtx580 from what i see is nv's only win as its the single fastest gpu on the planet.
I was under the impression that the 5970 was faster.

I agree with the 3 monitors, 1 card thing.
I dont know why they havent bothered with that. If people are looking for a eyefinity/surround set-up, when considering their graphics card im pretty sure AMD would be at the top, simply for that reason.
I don't think there is much interest in it to be honest.
