Running cable into car

Might seem a strange request this one...but bear with me.

Have just noticed that the drivers footwell in my 08 Fiat 500 is proper sodden. I don't mean a little damp, this is full on push hand into carpet and water puddles around fingers sodden.

Am trying to work out how the water got in, but in the meantime, I need to dry the car out before it starts stinking and rotting.

I have a super duper de-humidifier at home and was going to use that, but am looking for a way of getting extension cable into car and also being able to close the door so as to not try and dehumidify Plymouth.

Any ideas?

As for water, all I can think of is that with the nasty weather over last week, somehting has leaked or that windscreen drain is blocked somewhere, but trying to find that out. Was thinking of getting my hands on a smoke machine and filling car and seeing where it leaks out from

Open door, place extension in car, close door

The door seals are made of rubber and will happily deform around something like a mains cable

Happy days....was thinking that but not sure how much they deformed.

Will get onto that later.

Now back to the search of where to find the windscreen drain scuttles

Doing some more reading and a few posts are suggesting it could be the A/C drain that has blocked.

Have to admit, I never turn that off...

Anyone any idea where the A/C drain is on a 08 plate 500 diesel?
