Running Shoes HELP!!!

Well they came today nice and early, really, really impressed with them, they are lightweight and very comfortable to wear, it has the asics gel system thus are really springy/bouncy, comfortable and absorb a lot of impact. They are ideal for off-road running as well as road or treadmill since they have a lot of tread which looks like it will have a lot of grip even on wet grass etc. and despite the comfort, the tread is very hard so there's no problem running on gravel or rocks. I went for a run in them tonight on the treadmill, they're brilliant, it made running seem effortless, I've been used to getting pains in my ankles while running from the impact but they absorb the impact so well, I also used to get lower back pain after about 10 minutes hence I'm used to fighting a lot of pain while running but tonight with no pain in my legs or back, I could just get on with running and the only limit was my fitness, I've just done one of my best runs ever, 6km in 25 minutes and I stepped off feeling really good, not limping out of the gym like a cripple. I find these trainers give me very good posture also, probably due to how supportive they are, I stand up really tall and straight in them, just feels really good to walk in.

There's my mini review, I'd love to wear them all the time they're so good but I can't since they don't go good with jeans :P

I don't know how much of this is true for probably a lot of specialist running shoes but I've only ever wore fashion shoes before so I'm really pleased with my purchase and it has/will open up new limits of speed/distance and comfort to my running.

10 out of 10 - asics gt 2120.

I got a pair of Asics Gel Mohaves just after Christmas. I've found them to be excellent, they're good for road running but with extra toe protection which makes them good on the trail and for adventure racing (doing a Rat Race in July).

I'd never bought running shoes before, but a proper gait assessment in a running shop gave me a good indication of my running style and so on.

I took up running in November... nothing hardcore but i have been running in regular trainers since then, until last week. I think if i carried on i would have done something pretty bad, i got so far in them then i felt like my ankles just locked up...

Anyways went to the shop last week and it was great, the guy got me to do a few tests, balancing and running and suggested a few options. also gave me one size up from a 9 to a 10 which really has give me extra comfort. I ended up getting the same asics trainers you bought, the gel ones TN637.

Went for a run today with them and they are really good, very light, feels like my feet can breathe and its definitely cushioned. really amazing actually, very impressed.

It was a great feeling.

I was thinking of the Great North Run this year, but im not sure if i can still apply, i know i can definitely be ready for it by then.

Shame my uni doesnt have any running club... lol
