Russian airliner missing over Egypt

Typical British turn it round to be all about them, just watched the news of people landed in Gatwick only to moan they spent a day extra in Egypt. Never please anyone, wish the reporters would turn round and say 'or you could have been on the flight last Saturday'.

I once over heard, whilst on holiday in Jamaica, an American tourist at the bar kicking off because they didn't have any celery to go with her bloody Mary! Some people are just nuts.

I feel sorry for all of the innocent people in Sharm who are going to have even less now that no one will visit.

Surprised this hasn't bubbled over into Dubai and its neighbours yet.

It's a poignant and sad point but yes, I do feel for the entrpenures and workers in the tourism trade. Then again why do you think the holidays there are so cheap? Lol!

BBC saying that the French investigation has concluded nothing was wrong mechanically with the plane and that and explosion was heard :(

and:

The American network NBC, quoting unnamed US officials, said on Friday that communications had been intercepted between IS officials in Syria and people in Sinai about how the jet had been brought down.

"They were clearly celebrating," NBC quoted the official as saying.

I wonder how the Russians will react when all their people have been evacuated.

I would love to see the Pyramids but I also like being alive so i don't plan on going near the part of the world at the moment. I did visit Dubai this year - probably the only Muslim country I would go to for the foreseeable future.

Dubai is probably the last place I would visit if I wanted to be alive.

I don't think Russia has the balls tbh, they'll talk all big and tough like they always do, but when it comes down to it - if they perform any serious deployment, they'll just make a big mess and fail, (not that the west has really done much better,)

I wonder how the Russians will react when all their people have been evacuated.
