Look at these huge gains you get from tweaking the memory performance, from 2133Mhz to timings tweaked 3400Mhz is 40% higher performance, if reviewers spend a little time properly setting up the Ryzen systems they would look very very diffrent, Intel would look very vulnerable not just in the HEDT space.

This is really the only thing that prevented me from going Ryzen, I have 32GB of 2133mhz DDR4 so would need to purchase much more expensive memory to make the move worthwhile.

2133Mhz is the most extreme example, its the cheapest RAM you can get, yet it is still a valid point.
But, if you're moving from a DDR3 CPU you will need to buy DDR4 RAM anyway and the price difference between 2133Mhz and 3200Mhz is really not a lot at all.

HyperX Predator 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz £85 8GB

Fury Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-17000C14 2133MHz Dual Channel £70 8GB

Even the 32GB versions of those kits are £260 vs £320

Under the hot sun.
That comment was almost ironic with your sig below it, except he used Taichi on the Intel and ASUS on the Ryzen, I think.
Yep, the CH6 burned my 1700X, when it was at stock speeds.
I belong to the club rightfully along side many others, especially the X99 RIVE owners :/

Yep, and another 8%-9% if you go 3466 at CL14. Plus much more if you get DR ram, but atm seems most are stuck to 3200mhz with DR.

Also AMD Ryzen (and later) CPUs going to fly on DDR5, which is double the speed.

Forgive my ignorance. DR ram?

So where can I get 3466 CL14 DR ram?
