https://community.amd.com/community...emory-oc-showdown-frequency-vs-memory-timingsHas anyone done SR/DR tests recently? Would be interesting to see where the best speed/timing/rank combo lies in terms of bang-for-buck.

Look at these huge gains you get from tweaking the memory performance, from 2133Mhz to timings tweaked 3400Mhz is 40% higher performance, if reviewers spend a little time properly setting up the Ryzen systems they would look very very diffrent, Intel would look very vulnerable not just in the HEDT space.
This is really the only thing that prevented me from going Ryzen, I have 32GB of 2133mhz DDR4 so would need to purchase much more expensive memory to make the move worthwhile.
$269.99 for the 1700 in the US, crazy bargain.
It gets better, saw this screenshot on another forum,AFTER the Techspot/Hardware Unboxed test:

That comment was almost ironic with your sig below it, except he used Taichi on the Intel and ASUS on the Ryzen, I think.Ouch
Yep, the CH6 burned my 1700X, when it was at stock speeds. That comment was almost ironic with your sig below it, except he used Taichi on the Intel and ASUS on the Ryzen, I think.
Yep, and another 8%-9% if you go 3466 at CL14. Plus much more if you get DR ram, but atm seems most are stuck to 3200mhz with DR.
Also AMD Ryzen (and later) CPUs going to fly on DDR5, which is double the speed.
DR = Dual rank.Forgive my ignorance. DR ram?
So where can I get 3466 CL14 DR ram?
