Safe way to commit ant genocide inside house with aquarium

Well they haven't returned since they enjoyed their bath. Had a thunder storm this evening and a multitude of them came out in the garden, all got a liberal coating of nippon powder.

Fingers crossed they wont return! At least inside anyway

they generally shouldn't; far as I know, the only come back if the original scouters return, leaving chem trails. if you can stop them doing that I don't think you should get repeated incursions.

Looks like a lot of them for just following a path, I'd guess that the nest is pretty close and it won't be long until they find the same exit point again. Wouldn't do any harm to shove some gel down the hole before you seal it up anyway.

Well they haven't returned.

I loaded up the holes they were coming from with nippon gel, then covered them with gripfil and then I refitted the skirting boards and trim pieces i removed and siliconed the gaps.

If they manage to get thru that lot (assuming they arent already dead) then they must be some kind of super mutant ant.
